Day 13: The road to Siracusa
Today I’m going to take you along on my ride from Palermo to Siracusa. At least a large part of it where we took a detour because the highway was closed. After watching these videos I’m quite sure you’ll understand why from now on in Sicily I’m taking the train.

Day 11: My mom’s funeral
A day of rest and contemplation. Followed by attending my mom’s wake via FaceTime. I was able to hear Brian, Joan and Teresa’s eulogies plus give one of my own. Thank you to my siblings, nieces, nephews, cousin, children and my friend Susan for helping me to feel a part of the ceremony.
